Last weekend was one the best weekends I've had in a very long time, and it all happened in NYC.  To cap off the great weekend, I attended the Full Moon Festival on Governors Island, which was an unexpected helluva time. The third annual festival put on by Matte Projects was inspired by the legendary Full Moon Festival in Thailand.  Without experiencing the festival in Thailand, I'd have to say the Full Moon Festival in NYC was pretty legendary. From the great people I was around, to the breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, massive full moon, and great bands, the Full Moon Festival is an event one should experience at least once in their lifetime, maybe more. With two stages to bounce back and forth from, bands such as Miami Horror, Wild Belle, Cyril Hahn, Tanlines, HAERTS, Yusek, The Knocks, Little Daylight, and The Dolls all added to the epic setting where concert goers danced the night away.  One of my favorite highlights included a minty fresh set by The Dolls, a girl duo -- one part DJ and one part violinist -- that caught me off guard in a great way! Other incredible moments included a great set by Little Daylight that had the crowd singing along all of their new hits, Cyril Hahn's Destiny's Child remix of "Say My Name," Tanlines killing it on "Real Life," and Miami Horror shutting the place down in usual fashion with lead singer Josh Moriarty jumping all over the stage. It's fair to say the experience we all had cannot be put into words and must be sought after in person.  The next time the Full Moon Festival in NYC comes around, be sure to check out Matte Projects amazing event!
