Why do we like this?
"Fired Up!" was a hot tech house jam released in 1996 by Funky Green Dogs. Not incredibly, the original is still very relevant. However, in this decade, electronic music production has evolved to new extremes. Dynamics have become deeply even more dynamic, evolving to undulate while oscillating, widening the scope of stereophonic capabilities.
Hot Since 82, a Leeds based DJ and producer, has revitalized "Fired Up!" in proper house fashion and is quite a pro with captivating, pumping production.
I've been sitting on this track for about a week, but when it popped on today during my morning drive, I was all, "fuck yeah" and then I was all, "oh yeah, I totally meant to blog about it." So here it is, and I hope upon hearing it, you too have a "fuck yeah" moment, too.
