They keep surprising me with new earworms every time they come my way. girlhouse delivers a soft rock alt ballad about that kid we all know and it's glorious.
A track tinted with synth keys and jealousy, alt-rock, and sarcasm - "cool guy" is a disgustingly beautiful little track that shouldn't be undermined just because it sounds simple. It's a complex and self-destructive little narrative hidden behind layers of beautiful electro-rock samples.
It does what soft alt does well - digs into your mind with aesthetic and hits you right in the feels narrative persuasions and on top of all that it sprinkles a bop worth every penny.
Obsessed with this cool guy.
