Why do we like this?

It has been a moment since we last heard from Lykke Li, but the Swedish songwriter has answered my prayers by returning with a haunting cover of Gloria Gaynor's disco hit, "I Will Survive."

While sure to divide fans of the original, I'm all about this strikingly beautiful take on the classic '70s hit. This stripped back, piano rendition features Li's trembling vocals and is similar to her I Never Learn era of music.

Hopefully, this is a sign new music is on the way from the talented artist.
