Why do we like this?

I'm a big fan of teenage up-and-comers High Tyde. The Brighton four piece have put out a number of indie rock thumpers over the past year, but "Speak" may be the best yet.

Anchored by frenetic guitar work, this is three minutes of blistering, party inducing indie pop. "Speak" really reminds me of the mid-2000 UK indie scene, with High Tyde capturing the catchy chorus and guitar heavy melodies that dominated that period of time. That said, the band also bring give the track its own identity, with Cody Thomas-Matthew's rousing vocals fitting perfectly with the band's energetic playing.
