Why do we like this?

If '60s teen idols Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello joined Born Ruffians (or any other late '00s English indie rock band of your choice), you might get something a little like Holiday Ghosts. 

Short and sweet, "Booksmart" got some delightfully acerbic lyrics under all that surf rock twang. Check out the rest of their new album, West Bay Playroom, for more commentary on maintaining identity and hope while everything else around totally sucks.
