Why do we like this?
Deities To Love
Housewife gives an obsessive, evolving sound to a shoegaze alt-rock anthem.
This track has a shoegaze, floaty, garage aesthetic that grows from moment to moment with a romantic intensity that you can only find in a shoegaze track. It has a drive ultimately boosted by its angsty sound and melancholic narrative tones.
The second half holds the actual vocals and narrative (which I love) it's this obsessive and yet sarcastic indulgence in someone's self-righteous identity, or is it? Is the artist praising or patronizing? The beauty is in the fence-sitting performance of the track and it's as stimulating as it is a vibe.
