Why do we like this?

My first foray into Hudson Mohawke was a few years ago with his brilliant edit of Tweet / Missy Elliot's "Oops." From that track, I knew this young UK artist would be going places. Starting out at a very young age as DJ Itchy, I'm pretty sure we can all agree that he leveled up with his present moniker.

Busy of late with his TNGHT trap music duo project, this UK lad just released a single for free download in anticipation of Pleasure Principle weekend. Using nip-slipper Janet Jackson's "Pleasure," this track is what I'm going to term a light-hearted banger. Drums and a complex melody, heavy with synths, make this exactly the kind of ramp up you'd want pre-festival.
