IYVES, formerly known as HΛNΛH, wrote a song about love and heartache. It’s a topic that we’re used to hearing about. The Brooklyn-based vocalist had recently released a new track titled “Wilinout” that specifically tackles the subject on a personal level.
IYVES stated that she “wrote this song during a pivotal time in a relationship. It’s that moment where you realize that a change needs to happen, but something is holding you back. Sometimes the fear of change can paralyze you and this song is discovering that state of being in between.”
Drenched in the airy synths of her newest track are vocals that brood and could almost be called a futuristic version of Sade. Or at least has the same mood from the English legend delivered in her classics.
