The age of a song should never affect your opinion about a track, as older material might as well be the best you have heard in a while. Today I want to share a song with you that has been on my playlist for quite some time now, as it was released two years ago.
There is a good reason why it has been on there for so long, and I am not planning on deleting it anytime soon.
“Dear Simone” is a track by English singer-songwriter Jacob Banks. Only in his 20’s, the young artist shows how talented he is on his The Monologue EP, which also features this particular song. It is a great first introduction if you haven’t heard of him before.
If you want to hear more musical goodness from Jacob, make sure to check out his EP on SoundCloud. You can’t really go wrong with someone that has D’Angelo and John Mayer as two of his inspirations, can you?
