Why do we like this?

I can't get enough of this unique track and its distinct mix of pop, rap, synth, R&B and more. There’s an endless list of artists James Mantis could have pulled influence from, but in the end, the real genius is him.

In addition to being a talented musician, Mantis is also an amazing producer. He throws in loads of technique and experimentation into this explosion of creativity.

He’s not afraid to mess with the volume. Sometimes he fearlessly projects his voice and other times he holds back. Some of the audio sounds choppy and other parts of it flow steadily. And in the middle of it all, some of it sounds like an old school DJ is spinning records next to him.

His energy also pours out when he raps, since he’s not quite screaming but rather energetically speaking. And then only a second later, he has brought it all the way down to a hush.
