Johnny Jewel's magic touch is on display on this vocoder-heavy new tune from the upcoming Italians Do It Better compilation, After Dark 2. The first edition of this comp was released several years ago, and they've been teasing the unveiling of this new one for a year or so.
After Dark 2 features a number of Italians Do It Better artists, including Glass Candy, Chromatics, and symmetry. Of course, most of these artists have Johnny Jewel lending a hand, as he is pretty proficient producer, adding multi-layered instrumental intricacies that make any track better.
This newest glance at After Dark 2 is a long, downtempo jam, and has almost all vocals processed with a vocoder. It's par for the course for Johnny Jewel, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
