Why do we like this?

When a song starts off with a strong and jarring sound it usually spells instant doom in my books. But what Indie Shuffle veterans Joywave have done on this new one is...interesting.

"Destruction" sees the opening seconds do a lighthearted balance of voice-over and forceful synth-work. The exchange sets the foundation for an upbeat and powerful single that otherwise may have put listeners off at first play.

"Destruction" will be released as part of the band's upcoming debut album How Do You Feel Now?, available April 21st.
