Why do we like this?
I wanted to ignore this remix of "My Love" when the trap rolled in, because I've unfortunately moved on. But it's Justin Timberlake and it's Dr. Fresch, whose cover of Daft Punk's "Something About Us" is one of my favorites of 2013. The off-kilter components, of eerily atmospheric synth, rickety percussion, pulsing bass, and a jazz tease are superseded by the subtly intelligent provocation of it all.
