Why do we like this?

I'm pretty much a sucker for anything GLK-related. I listen to Gaslamp Killer's debut album Breakthrough at work or when I need inspiration. I'm not overly familiar with L.A.-based Kid Moxie, but if she rolls with Gaslamp Killer, then she must be doing something right.

"Museum Motel" appears on Kid Moxie's forthcoming 1888 LP, out December 12 via Undo. The track is quite cinematic, playing up a wonderful horn sample that ties together the strings and sharp percussion. As if "Museum Motel" isn't enough reason to hop on the bandwagon, 1888 will also feature a collaboration between Kid Moxie and Twin Peaks composer Angelo Badalamenti.
