Believe it or not, Kimasu finished this song a few months before George Floyd's story changed the USA.
To quote the man himself:
"I finished the track a couple of months back during lockdown and hadn’t realised how poignant the vocal would become, it just feels kind of fitting we pay respect to all those effected by everything we’re seeing in the news right now. Crazy times but music and love can pull us through this."
Context considered, what really drew me into this song was the Maribou State-esque future garage vibe. It's lovely and somehow takes me back to ~2013 when Jamie xx, AlunaGeorge, and the UK scene were domianting the blogosphere.
