Why do we like this?
Fellow Indie Shuffle writer Justin posted electro pop duo Scavenger Hunt's debut single "Lost" earlier this month, but I'm here to showcase their entrancing cover of Kings Of Leon's "California Waiting." While the original is rough-and-ready Southern rock at its best, Scavenger Hunt's version is a pulsating electro number, with Jill Lamoureux's enchanting vocals flipping the tune in an entirely different direction.

While it loses the urgency of the King's original, Lamoureux's dreamy vocals mixed with Dan Mufson's electronic production elevate "California Waiting" into a new stratosphere. These guys are definitely worth checking out.
