Kirk Francis is actually a British duo consisting of Jack O’Hea & Josh Best-Shaw. They met at Falmouth University, back in 2017. This dreamy and catchy tune was created while on lockdown in Cornwall, Bristol, and Sussex. It’s only their second single and it’s a clear example of a new band that shows a profound potential.
Even though the lyrics are a tad nostalgic, the song is fun thanks to its many arrangements that allow it to feel fresh and party appropriate.
I’m a big fan of a funky bass and this song delivers that exactly. The synth is pretty mellow and adds a soft texture whilst the drum unpretentiously marks the beat on a playful way.
Let it play on repeat while you work, and I guarantee a productive and entertaining day.
Stay safe out there people.
