Why do we like this?

I'm not overly familiar with L.A. auteur Lawrence Rothman, but when I read about the people involved with his latest single, "Designer Babies," I just had to give the track a spin.

Not only does Rothman duet with Kim Gordon on "Designer Babies," but Angel Olsen provides backup vocals and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, M83's Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Warpaint's Stella Mogzawa, and Active Child form Rothman's backing band. Amazing. 

As for the track, it's an experimental piano ballad, with Rothman's baritone and Gordon's distinct voice interweaving during the tracks five minutes.
