Why do we like this?
When looking in hindsight, there's something beautiful about hearing the tale of a musician's rise to success. Not all musicians are as weird as Marilyn Manson, so naturally not everybody has as clear cut a way to being recognized. Which makes Bridges' rise to the big stages one of those cheery tales.
Coming Home was nominated for a Grammy, which kinda means this Texas-bred R&B, soul-man "made it" in many respects.
Looking back, it's a long way from his days of working, and playing open mic nights at the Del Frisco's Grille in Fort Worth. A story with on really clear cut message: Go to Forth Worth and play your music at Del Frisco's Grille if you want to become famous.
