Why do we like this?

A quick history lesson: French electro-house artist Kavinsky releases "Nightcall" in 2010. For the next few years, the world collectively loses its shit over "Nightcall" after it's used in the title sequence for the 2011 film Drive. This fawning leads to an outpouring of "Nightcall" remixes and covers, including a great cover from British trio London Grammar that appears on the Deluxe edition of the band's debut album.

This is where Hot Chip's Joe Goddard comes in and knocks another remix out of the park. Goddard clearly has an ear for the dance floor, reworking London Grammar's "Nightcall" cover into a pulsating, somewhat wonky house tune with solid replay value.

Fans can purchase London Grammar's Nightcall single EP on December 8.
