Why do we like this?

The other night my wife and I were listening to Sufjan Stevens in the kitchen before making our way to the local watering hole for beers and whiskeys. There's something about Los Angeles Police Department that reminds me a bit of Sufjan. Perhaps it's his lyricism, or his vocals, or a bit of both.

I feel compelled to share LAPD's single "Spent" with you, in the hope that it kicks off a great night out with friends or a significant other, or maybe a pensive night of rearranging your bookshelves alone. Either way, I hope there is beer and whiskey involved.
