Just over a month ago, we bought you "Elevate" (Remix), a collaboration between Indie Shuffle regular Tim Shiel and fellow Melbourne-producer Lower Spectrum (the moniker of Ned Beckley). Now, the latter has teamed up with Feral Media, a Sydney-based, artist-run record label, as part of their recent Autumn EP (in turn, a part of their Seasons EP series).
"Fall" is a fantastic indication of what Lower Spectrum is about as a musician -- driving, sunny rhythms paired with beautiful sample arrangement. I can definitely see the representation of the season too, with Beckley creating a somewhat shadowy but still energetic undertone, explaining that the track "represents the duality between light and dark and its transition as winter looms."
The Seasons collections are all worth a look, with some beautiful music created by Indie Shuffle favorites Friendships, The Townhouses, and Tim Fitz, among others. You can check them all out here.
