Anyone who grew up in the mid-90s would be familiar with "Sex And Candy," the massive hit for alternate rockers Marcy Playground, who, despite fading from the spotlight soon after the hype died down, continue to put out material to this day.
That aside, the song was pretty good, in that classic 90s way, and it seems singer Cassie Steele agrees, having dropped a cover of "Sex And Candy" online today.
Who is Cassie Steele? Well she's a former Degrassi star and singer, who, according to Pigeons And Planes, has just signed with Randy Jackson and is readying her major label debut.
Her first single "Mad" is already getting attention State side, but it's her warped, hip hop influenced take on "Sex And Candy" that got my attention. You got to love those snares!
