This is the second time pretty much in a week that I'm writing about Mark Johns. The female vocalist with the boy-ish name was featured in that huge Lemaitre release last week, and this week she released her debut original track.
That's how cool I think she is. I'm a big fan of female artists that have two things: talent and attitude. And I'm putting Mark Johns firmly into both of those categories. Her talent is obvious -- especially now that we're getting a taste of her original work, but also because other artists are practically falling over themselves to work with her.
Her debut single is mellow and downtempo, but the lyrics pack a whopping punch. That's the attitude part I was talking about earlier. Produced by Brenton Duvall, pay attention to the outro on this track. It's a gem.
