Why do we like this?

It's always nice to add a new artist to our ranks, and fortunately for London-based Gavin Ellis, today that artist is Memory Maze.

His latest track "The Closest Thing To Heaven" caught my attention for its easy-going blend of psychedelic and surf pop. There's nothing particularly fancy about it, but the production is well-balanced, the melody approachable, and the song generally enjoyable.

Memory Maze's debut album From The Outside In is due for release on August 14th.
