Why do we like this?
After locking himself in a studio for months on end in Montreal, Robotaki has emerged in parallel with the warmer weather. Coincidence? I think not. Montreal winters can be harsh enough to force one to stay behind closed doors, but simultaneously facilitates lots of songwriting to pass the time, or in this case, remixing.
Following past releases of remixes of Miami Horror, Kavinsky, and The M Machine that topped the Hype Machine charts week after week, Robotaki returns with an intimate yet powerful sound, one that transforms Miguel's "Do You" into something impossibly sensual.
Released as a free offering, the 'Midnight Snack Edit' of "Do You" is just that: something to be enjoyed and consumed when all of the lights are out.
