Why do we like this?

L.A.-based boy band Mirror Talk has figured out how to time travel. They've reached back into 1984 and brought back a wedding singer staple that melds R&B and new wave, and added that prototypical L.A. shimmer.

As your friends start getting hitched one by one and you contemplate whether you're winning or losing at life over a stiff bourbon on Melrose Ave, you'll hear this song marinating more and more in the back of your head. It will be on every radio station and at every wedding you attend for the next few years.

This new age 80s pop concoction comes off the band's upcoming EP1997 via Yellow Bear Records. In a way, the EP's title is a nod to the futuristic sound the band brings, that's if we're back in 1984. Retro future, baby.
