Oh Reminiscence, Let Me Be
Hindsight-incarnate —"For Lucy" is a track that grabs you from a narrative standpoint all the while, holding your hand with the instrumentation.
The beauty in this track is that it starts one way, you feel this joy — a reflection on the past that leaves you with a smile. Then once you let the feelings fly over you, you discover the hardships, the folky hits of pain, and the soft melancholy of the vocal performance. It's all beautifully crafted and makes for an unexpected journey.
It's a blessing to be so aware of the past — the good and the bad — and Nadia Kamrath respects that immensely in "For Lucy."
