Why do we like this?

Said to be an exploration and confrontation of faiths, religions, and cults, the lyricism of "Nova" adds depth to an otherwise uplifting chorus melody. The verses have a 90's coolness to them while the chorus reminds me of Hanni El Khatib's "Alive."

With "Nova," Phil Simmonds (AKA Navah Sea) bends genres, allowing familiarity to open our ears long enough to be captured by and taken by the uniqueness of the track.

"Nova" is the lead single from the Navah Sea album, released at the same time as the Navah Sea art exhibition in London on 9th APRIL 2022. Art captured in sound, captivating the listener — it doesn't get better than that.
