Neo-Safari x Big Jackson Goodbye Summer

As we boldly march into October and with summer quickly disappearing in our rear-view mirror (at least for those of us here in the Northern Hemisphere), there are two ways that we can deal with the impending new season.  We can either drearily pull out our warmer wardrobe as we dream of days at the beach, or we can fully embrace all that fall has to offer.

Thankfully, Dallas producers Neo-Safari and Big Jackson can steer us towards the latter with their brand new collab track "Goodbye Summer."

Neo-Safari and Big Jackson have definitely found a common ground between upbeat surf-inspired electronica and R&B-fueled chill out, as the two look to dance their way into October. The beat slowly sneaks its way in through some meandering synthesizers, just like a cool and crisp autumn afternoon cutting through the sunshine, while a sample of the Beach Boys "Wouldn't It Be Nice" plants one leg of the track in the warm sand.  The mellow eventually wins out at the end, just as summer surely ends and we accept our fate of sweaters and denim.

Goodbye, summer; you're really more of a state of mind anyway.  However, I do refuse to stop wearing my flip-flops.
