Following successful events in years past, Lighthouse Festival, which are normally based on some Croatian island, is bringing their full production to Cape Town. Taking place on a humble beach in the 'out-of-town' Kommetjie, the festivities will be over looked by, well, a lighthouse.

Lighthouses were often used as beacons for sailors out on dark waters, and while I imagine at the festival it'll be merely aesthetic, bar one or two druggas, one can draw easily draw very far-fetched similes. One of those might be that the lighthouse is representative of a signal to Europe that, indeed, Africa has cooler beaches than, say, Ibiza or Croatia, but that is just hearsay.

Locals will be treated to a line-up including HVOB, andhim, Marco Resman, DJ Vinny Da Vinci and more.

Venue-wise it'll be a first for South African festivals, which is pretty special considering there are a lot of them. The line-up will also be a refreshing taste of how deep/tech house doesn't have to be soulless.

We'd suggest hitting 'Attending' and then grabbing a ticket, but we're not your mother, so we can't tell you what to do.
