Whether or not there will actually be llamas in attendance, Capetonians are in for something a bit different this coming weekend, October 20th-22nd. LlamaLand is a two day celebration turn fundraiser for the Eyethu Hout Bay Skatepark initiative. The festival will host a batch of intimate shows featuring local artists. To round things off, on the Saturday night, the tempo will pick up a bit, and, as founder Stephan Fourie has implied, this party could go on until the very early hours of the morning!

There's an interesting contrast between dancing 'til the sun rises and scheduled, 11am Pottery Play. Diversity in activities is something that this festival has done well. Preconceived ideas about what will and won't happen up in Pringle Bay this weekend are dangerous. You'll want to remember your dancing takkies, but that doesn't mean the set of water colors should be left at home either.

Diversity is something that LlamaLand's line-up also does well. There will be a huge range of music throughout the event, and, as aforementioned, just about every other activity imaginable. Personally, I'll be there for Hoop Sass at 3pm. Also, there's a stage called Calm'a'llama, it would be dumb to miss that.
