Hip-hop duo Run The Jewels have announced that they've begun work on Run The Jewels 3, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2014's Run The Jewels 2.
Earlier this year, the pair said that they were too busy touring and working on (perhaps 2015's strangest musical release) Meow The Jewels, to begin work on RTJ3 in 2015. Killer Mike has also put a great deal of effort into his political input across 2015, endorsing presidential candidate Bernie Sanders wherever possible at recent events, interviews and media appearances.
Taking to Instagram, El-P shared the first snippet of new music from the upcoming album:
Other than feline-friendly remix project Meow The Jewels, Run The Jewels officially released two songs in 2015: "Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)", to be heard on upcoming documentary Rubble Kings, and Record Store Day exclusive "Bust No Moves".
"Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)" was voted one of Indie Shuffle's top hip-hop tracks of 2015. Check out the full playlist here.
