St. Vincent or Annie Clark, the multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, is releasing her new album this year, 2017. The album, MASSEDUCTION, is set for release on October 13 via Loma Vista – the record label founded by Tom Whalley, former chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. In a fake press conference held on Facebook (you can watch it below), Clark explains the difficulties of releasing an album, and likens it to a wedding, with some fans for the 'old me' and others for the 'new me.' Well, perhaps she's found a way to unify this divide and keep all of her fans happy, because now it looks like 2 versions of the album will be available.

2 Versions of MASSEDUCTION

With her last release coming three years ago, fans are reeling with the excitement of new music, and better yet, two new versions of the highly-anticipated album have surfaced. After St. Vincent completed MASSEDUCTION, she apparently created a stripped down version with pianist Thomas Bartlett, also known as Doveman. Doveman has played with Sufjan Stevens, The National, Julia Stone and more. The release date for this second version is currently unknown.

MASSEDUCTION 'Press Conference'

In a live video on Facebook, St. Vincent answered some questions following a music video of her track "New York" and another previous statement. She answers questions like 'Are you ok?' and 'What do you fear?' with sarcasm, a dead-pan stare and a large portion of creativity. For example, talking about giant related fetishes (really, you should watch the press conference.)

Some exchanges went a little something like this:

Question: what's the inspiration for the album art?
St. Vincent: Well, the album art...is an ass. [pause] Do you have to ask?
