The Killers' new album, Wonderful Wonderful, will be released this year. The pretty well-known, The Killers formed in 2001, which was when they recorded their first track "Mr. Brightside." The band have released four studio albums, last one being 2012's Battle Born. Five years later they're following it with Wonderful Wonderful

Wonderful Wonderful Release Date

The album is set for release in September of this year. The Killers have released a track called "The Man," to which you can listen below. It's a fairly new sound for the band, with a slight disco feel, nudging fans to wonder what the overall listening-experience for Wonderful Wonderful might be.

The Killers' Brandon Flowers

Taking charge of lead vocals and the keyboard, Brandon Flowers, is The Killers' frontman. He has already released a solo debut album called Flamingo, and his second one - The Desired Effect - was affected by The Killers' Battle Born, meaning that he had to cut short the allotted time he had planned to spend on promotion.

Wonderful Wonderful hasn't proven easier for Flowers to record. All four members of the band - Brandon Flowers, Ronnie Vannucci, Dave Keuning & Mark Stoermer - live in different states. Trying to coordinate them has resulted in Wonderful Wonderful taking the longest of all the albums to come together.

"The Man" By The Killers

As mentioned above, their first release from the album, "The Man," isn't quite what we've come to know as The Killers' sound. It was produced by Jacknife Lee who has worked with the likes of Bloc Party, Silversun Pickups & Taylor Swift. This Irish producer is all about experimentation, working with hip hop & funk records as well as a boom box in the recording of Wonderful Wonderful. "The Man" however, was inspired by a Kool & the Gang track that the band used a sample from, and then recreated. Maybe it's the Kool & the Gang track we've featured down below.
