For a band with such a complicated coming together, Nite Field's music is anything but difficult. The four-piece -- who all originally hail from Brisbane, came together in Melbourne, but now split their time between Sydney and their home town -- are gearing up for the release of their debut album, and recently shared the record's first single.
"You I Never Knew" is a stunning track, echoing and emotive while still possessing elements of a great pop song. There's something about the way this resonates that just melts me. From the deep vocals to the sparkling guitar and the thudding bass riffs, this is a particularly well put-together track. Production from Nigel Lee-Yang, of infamous duo HTRK, might just be a telling factor, and provides an insight into what we should expect from the band's promising LP.
Nite Fields' album Depersonalisation is due out February 3 via Felte.
