Did you know that the age-old classic 'Why did the chicken cross the road?' has a meaning that most of us (perhaps only me but suffering alone isn't all that fun so you're coming along for the ride) missed?
Right, well here goes: the 'other side,' in the joke, is representative of kicking the ol' bucket, meeting one's maker, passing on, and you get the point but, dropping the twig. So little Clucky crosses the road only if he has a cheeky little death wish.
I somehow doubt that this is what nothingspecial was after when creating the track "The Other Side of Town" but alas, here we are, at this side of a blog post that has just explained, in detail, the meaning of a frivolous childhood joke.
