Why do we like this?

I have no idea who Novellus is or how a SoundCloud link for "Reign" ended up in my inbox, but once I pressed play I immediately poured out a libation onto my carpet thanking God for the blessing. 

"Reign" is a sweet jam that is initially unassuming but builds. The song feels like Spike Lee's trademark steadicam shot -- surreal, dream-like, and perpetually in motion. A sublime concoction with strong electronic and pop foundations, hints of ambient and chillwave bring a warmth the track that endears the listener with minimal spins.
