Why do we like this?

You know those first three seconds of a song where you realize if you're going to dig it? Well I didn't even need the other two for this one.

Introducing NY duo Overcoats, the moniker of best friends Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell and possibly my new favorite act.

Their new single "Hold Me Close" is a stirring piece of soulful pop that will invoke the deepest feelings of melancholy, but at the same time elation. The vocal harmonies here are a thing of beauty and work perfectly with the flourishing electronic backdrop.

Keep your eye out for their debut album Young which is to be released this year!
