Why do we like this?

I love it when SoundCloud offers up unexpected gems. This one came up in my 'related tracks' offering on SoundCloud this week, and I'm so glad it did.

Overjoy is a trio out of L.A. and this track "Holiday" comes from an upcoming EP called Another out next month. Their debut EP Breakfast was released late last year under the Australian label Sweat It Out. 

Overjoy cite Latin and African percussion as influences which helps to explain the heavy beats that occupies much of their work. The middle section of this track is especially joyful—you'll hear it when the beat deepens and the intensity lifts a notch. Quality stuff.
