I first heard of Vancouver producer Pat Lok in 2011 through his No Shame EP featuring a solid nu-disco remix from Goldroom. In the three years since, Pat's been able to perfect his sound: a soupy blend of disco house meets neo-soul.
One person who took notice was Karl Kling of RAC, who today shares Pat's latest single "Needy" on his newly minted label MANI/PEDI Records.
"Needy" has all of the dance floor sensibilities of Pat's previous releases, with exquisitely melancholy vocals over a piano-driven house beat that will have you chasing a new unrequited love. The full Needy EP features remixes from Montreal disco house producer Robotaki and Future Classic favorite Ekali, out today on MANI/PEDI Records.
