Why do we like this?

The last time I wrote about Petite Noir on Indie Shuffle, I alluded to not being entirely sure why I was covering the song. Flash forward two months, however, and I think the reasoning has made itself clear.

"Shadows" is the latest single off the South African artist's upcoming 5-track EP The King Of Anxiety, due for release on January 19th. It sees a rich production back lush vocals, with varied instrumentation and rhythms composing a song that may in fact supersede its predecessor ("Chess").
