Outside Lands 2014: Festival Vibes

Have you been to a music festival before? Probably. Have you bought a shitty $12 beer at a music festival? Probably. Have you eaten a shitty hamburger at a music festival? Probably. Oh, you don't eat meat? Then you are probably left to choose between basically nothing at your standard music festival.

If you don't know, well, Outside Lands (OSL) is nestled between the trees of Golden Gate Park, and is truly a unique festival where the elements of nature, music, art, and food blend together in harmony in one of the greatest cities of the world. What separates this festival from others, is simply the quality of all of the elements in unison. While the lineup always includes legendary music artists, the food, wine, and beer selection gives every foodie, gluten-free, organic-only, Anthony Bourdain wanna-be critic a run for their money. Basically the food and drink are also the headliners at this festival.

Here are the two main reasons why OSL is better than any other festival that you've been to.

1.  The Food.  When in Rome, I mean, San Francisco, you eat like a king.  With a menu that includes deconstructed samosas, banh mi sandwiches, pork belly sliders, lumpia, cheesesteaks, and more, the variety and quality of food will triumph any other music festival, guaranteed.  Oh, the assortment ranges from 50+ restaurants, food trucks, AND a Chocoland! I bet your sweet tooth just got sweeter, and will get a cavity soon.  See the complete taste list here.

2.  The Drinks.  If you are going to spend $8 to $12 a drink (because let's face it, your empty Pringles container filled with a bottle of booze doesn't last forever), you might as well be able to have a choice of what you want, rather then sipping on a flat Coors Light.  Instead, step up your game and head over to Wine Lands that has numerous of local wineries to give you the perfect layer of warmth.  Believe me, you'll need it in these elements.  If wine isn't your thing, then OSL has a Beer Land for you, too.  Same vibe as Wine Lands, but, wait for it, BEER!  Yup, some of the best tasting beer in the world is all in one convenient spot.

Okay, now I'm hungry and thirsty. Ciao. Chow.
