These past few weeks I've had the chance to teach a class on DJing and electronic music production to kids aged 9 to 14.
One of my favorite parts of the class has been something I've called track of the day. At the beginning of each class I've played something different trying to expose to kids to as diverse types of music as I possibly can, and it's been really cool getting to see the look on their faces as they hear something absolutely brand new. A genre they never knew existed, an obscure remix of a track, or even just some deep house.
Sometimes as grown-ups I think we lose that joy of hearing something for the first time. We become jaded and set in our ways. Well, hears to listening to music with some fresh ears.
Enjoy!
