One of my favorite record labels, Mom+Pop Records, is putting on a pop-up showcase on 3/17, and it's one of the showcases that I'm looking forward to most. Mom+Pop is home to some stellar acts and the showcase promises to be awesome.
ELEL, out of Nashville, TN, kicks off the party with glittering indie dance pop. Check out the first single, "Kiss Kiss," for their debut album in the playlist below! Following up is local Austin act, Bayonne, with lush, intricate stylings. Following Bayonne is Australian act DMA'S. Prepare yourself for brit-pop circa 1995 jams; songs along the lines of Oasis' or Blur's best stuff. Don't believe me? Check out "Delete" below. Keeping up with the jangly rock sound, Hinds will take the stage and kick the party up a notch. Poliça takes the stage next with intricate electro-r&b goodness. Fresh off the release of a new album, expect some great stuff. Following Poliça is Lucius. Lucius is going to absolutely bring down the house with their big soulful sound and aggressively catchy hooks.
