If your mid-Labor Day weekend plans are looking bare and you’re anywhere in the vicinity of Brooklyn, then StageONE has you covered.
I’m still coming to grips with how insanely good the last StageONE event was a couple of weekends back. I can tell you that StageONE is one stage of outdoor late-summer awesomeness as Brooklyn’s most discerning underground club Verboten takes full advantage of Brooklyn’s waterfront to host an array of top DJs from around the globe.
This weekend’s StageONE is one for sampling an array of techno and electronica beats. Maceo Plex is headlining as he takes timeout from hitting up his usual Ibiza sets to come spin for us in Brooklyn. He’s a superstar in many forms, notably holding the #5 spot for last year’s Resident Advisor top 100 DJs. Not to be outdone, DJ Tennis, DJ Koze and Berlin-based young gun David August are also on the set list.
StageONE is a day-into-night event that offers magnificent sunset views over the East River. The fun kicks off from 1pm at 50 Kent Ave and extends well into your Labor Day weekend as the event shifts from outdoor to an indoor afterparty at Verboten proper.
Tickets to this weekend’s StageONE event are available right here.
