The Chicago production duo Louis the Child just wants to make people happy with music, and that's exactly what they did with their remix of Protohype's track "Fly."
Taking out a lot of the edge from the dubstep-inspired bass of the original and replacing it with some warped vocals and an upbeat house vibe, Louis The Child has cranked out an absolute banger. The guys have managed to keep the focus on those upbeat, positive vocals from Alina Renae, and at the same time they wire in that reworked lead, making me imagine a street monkey cranking a slightly detuned music box on its back for tips. I'm guessing the album artwork kind of helped spur that visual in my head.
Keep an eye out for the remixes that Louis the Child has been releasing over on their SoundCloud. You won't regret it. And if you see that musical monkey, tell him I want my $5 back.
