Why do we like this?

What do you get when you combine a professional tattoo artist with a crooning voice and a ukulele? The answer would be London-based soul siren Purple Ferdinand.

My favorite track off her refreshing three track EP Dragonfly is "Wasn't Taught To," which is sure to warm the toughest part of your heart. Purple Ferdinand's glowing tone is reminiscent of Lianne la Havas with a countryside twist.

Between recording her upcoming debut album and performing acoustic sets at Alexander McQueen launch parties in London Town, Purple Ferdinand has bestowed upon us the soul meets folk Dragonfly for free download on her site.
