Why do we like this?

Another notable single from Australian band RÜFÜS just in time for the work week. RÜFÜS just came out with a new EP this last April – Blue – and don’t seem to want to stop the releases. Me, I’m not complaining.

RÜFÜS remixed a track off their last EP, “This Summer,” into a diabolical, dense piece. Slightly picking up the tempo, the harrowed vocal tension still cuts through the air but grooves just right for an endless summer night. Well placed are the glitchy bits in the midpoint of the track, adding a layer of beautiful electronic complexity.

RÜFÜS is currently on tour throughout Australia with Elizabeth Rose, which is a show I would give a small child to attend. Hopefully they will hop hemispheres in the near futures for their stateside fans. For now, we can fill our time with this awesome video for the original track here.
